A stable self image is paramount to living in this world.

We see ourselves through the lens of causes and effects, working through our lives and trying to bend our environment to our own free will. It’s comfortable to see yourself as stable and predictable — and it’s comfortable to see the world that way, too.

But, you aren’t the same person you were a few months ago. If you’re anything like me, you’re pretty different. That’s ok.

There are seasons in life. Seasons of hard work, seasons of learning, seasons of relaxation, seasons of creativity, seasons of construction and joy, and seasons of destruction and despair.

Changing seasons is often uncomfortable. We long for what we used to have instead of valuing what we have been given. But learning to love your season, no matter what it is — that’s eudaimonia.
