Have you ever seen a bird flying around a massive church? Well, I have. They enter the door and then soar straight up to the windows (and light) and try to find a way out up there. The only issue is that the door is on the ground level, 300-feet below. They’ll never get out.

When a bird enters a church, they are in a state of uncertainty. They don’t know what’s going on. So, they resort to instinct. Fly towards the light! Only, instinct fails them.

It’s comfortable for a bird to stay high in the church, but the way out isn’t found by being comfortable. It’s found by going against instinct, diving to the floor, and then finding the escape.

So, when a new problem arises that you have never danced with before, don’t be a bird in a cathedral. The solution won’t be in your comfort zone — it will be a hop and skip outside of it.
