Immediately reminded me of that Bukowski quote: "The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence."

I sympathize with your argument here, and I remain conflicted about how to speak with people about sharing their ideas. I tend to agree with the idea that most people do not take their ideas seriously enough, often letting them slip away from their mind without writing them down (this is why I carry a notebook with me everywhere). However, it is clear that some people are a little too eager to share how they feel, even if that feeling is unsubstantiated. I see it in myself, too. I try to write a piece on Medium every other day. While some of the stuff is pretty good, some of it really isn't. Is it my responsibility as a creator to only publish the stuff I think is good or is it in everyone's best interest for me to just stay consistent as my trash may be someone else's gold. It surely is a delicate balance.
